Casino Crime News Roundup: Man Convicted of Robbing Reno Casino Worker

Clyde Buckley III was recently convicted for the January robbery of a casino cage manager in the parking garage of Circus Circus Reno Hotel & Casino.
The jury in Washoe County, Nev. delivered the verdict after considering the evidence against 26-year-old Buckley, as reported by news sources on Tuesday.
He faced charges of armed robbery for the incident on January 24. Buckley is set to receive his sentence on December 5 from Judge Barry Breslow. Buckley may be sentenced to prison time.
He was one of the two masked individuals whom prosecutors claimed held the woman at gunpoint during the robbery.
The pair went up to the victim while she walked towards her parked car. The robbers brandished a gun and subsequently compelled the victim into the garage's staircase. Following being pulled down two flights in the stairwell, the thieves took her handbag, mobile phone, and lunch bag, as reported by Nevada TV station KOLO. Authorities did not disclose information about the contents of the purse.
The two criminals then escaped in a car operated by a third accomplice.
Reno police utilized footage from the casino's surveillance cameras to recognize Buckley. Reno police have not provided any updates on whether the two other suspects have been charged.
The ruling arrived 11 days after Buckley received a sentence for an earlier weapons offense for being a felon with a firearm.
According to Nevada TV station KTVN, the latest ruling marks Buckley's third conviction for an offense related to firearms.
North Carolina Casino Heist, Culprits Still Free
Authorities in North Carolina are still looking for three individuals who broke into a casino on Monday.
The robbers gained entry to Pinkney’s Place Casino in Rowland, NC by shattering a glass door. They entered an office and took an unknown quantity of coins.
According to South Carolina TV station WMBF, the suspects subsequently escaped from the building in a Nissan Altima.
Kentucky Individual Charged with Theft of $18,000
A suspect was recently apprehended for supposedly stealing over $18K and using a large portion of it at a gaming establishment in Indiana.
Randall Scott Brown, 40, from Madisonville, Ky., faced theft charges. He was arrested at the Hopkins County Jail, with bail established at $5,000.
The funds were provided to Brown for home renovations, as reported by Indiana TV station WEVV.
The victim obtained $18,500 from the Kentucky Farm Bureau to pay for repairing a roof and fence.
The funds were placed into Brown’s bank account. However, only $42.11 remained in the account, based on recent balance evaluations. According to the police, Brown did not complete any of the repairs.
Authorities additionally disclosed that the funds were utilized for transactions at an undisclosed casino in Evansville, Ind.
